BHARAT K. VALLURUPALLI, MS, OTR/L, CHT

Bharat is an Occupational Therapist and completed his undergraduate program in Occupational Therapy at the National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (NIRTAR) in Cuttack, India. He then received his Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation from All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AIIPMR), Bombay, India and followed this with an Advanced Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), Chicago, IL. He has over 13 years of experience in upper extremity & hand therapy and became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2006. Bharat has been in the practice of upper extremity & hand therapy full-time in Vienna, VA since 2003. His expertise includes all facets of pediatric and adult upper extremity and hand therapy. He excels in upper extremity & hand custom orthotics (splints). Bharat's interests include assistive technology for individuals with disabilities, ergonomics consulting, upper extremity prosthesis checkout and training & qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
